CODE OF ETHICS AND STANDARDS (CODE)

Below is a list of standards that this AA Accredited Warranty Dealer has agreed to abide by in relation to upholding the standards and practices of AA Warranty Limited.

This code expresses the Approved Dealer's recognition of his/her responsibility to Clients, Financiers, Insurers, Colleagues and the Public.

Basic Principles - The maintenance of discipline and good conduct depends on a number of basic principals. These principles guide Dealers in the performance of their responsibilities and are the tenets of ethical conduct.

1) Ethics

Integrity - AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall be open, honest and sincere in all dealings.

Competence - AA Accredited Warranty Dealers have a duty to maintain a high standard of professional competence in all dealings.

Due Care and Responsibility - AA Accredited Warranty Dealers should conduct their business with due care and refrain from any conduct which might bring discredit to themselves and/or the automotive sales industry.

2) Standard

i) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers at all times, are to avoid exaggeration, misrepresentation or concealment of pertinent facts relating to any transaction they may be involved in.
ii) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall operate their business in a professional and 'businesslike' manner.
iii) Every Accredited Warranty Dealers has a duty to maintain their knowledge and skills at a level required to ensure that the Dealer's clients receive competent service based on up-to-date knowledge and practice.
iv) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall have a working knowledge of, and fully abide by applicable laws and regulations.
v) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall disclose such relevant information that may be required to be made available under any statute or act.
vi) An AA Accredited Warranty Dealer shall not disclose any information which has been obtained in the course of providing services to clients unless such disclosure is made with the knowledge and consent of the client, or the Accredited Dealer is required to do so by operation of law.
vii) Only fully AA Accredited Warranty Dealers may use and display the AA Accredited Warranty logo. The logo may only be used in accordance with the instructions issued by AA Warranty Limited.
viii) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall ensure that all advertising and promotion is accurate and is not misleading.
ix) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall ensure all vehicles are of merchantable quality and any faults are rectified prior to delivery of the vehicle to the client.
x) AA Accredited Warranty Dealers shall ensure all vehicles are sold with a clear and unencumbered title.
i) Approved Dealers shall offer to all clients the protection of AA Warranty Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, Loan Equity Insurance, and Lifestyle Protection Insurance on all qualifying vehicles for a term of up to three years from the date of purchase.
