The AA Appraisal provides an overall evaluation of the vehicle and gives buyers additional information about its mechanical and safety condition.
AA Odometer Verification
For applicable vehicles imported from Japan, an AA Odometer Inspection Label shows that the odometer has been inspected and verified by certified technicians.
The available vehicle records and general condition are considered as part of the process, providing added assurance that the displayed odometer reading is consistent with the vehicle.
AA Entry Compliance
Used vehicles imported into New Zealand must pass entry compliance certification before they can be registered for use on New Zealand roads.
Entry compliance is more comprehensive than a standard Warrant of Fitness inspection. It includes checks of the vehicle’s identity, manufacturing standards, structural condition, safety systems and other regulatory requirements.
Vehicles that receive AA Entry Compliance are assessed at an NZTA-approved AA inspection centre.

An AA Appraised used car has received a 43-point mechanical and safety check from the AA. The appraisal focuses on important mechanical and safety components and includes an overall evaluation of the vehicle.

An AA Appraisal is an entry-level 43-point mechanical and safety assessment. It is different from the AA’s more comprehensive 100+ point Pre-Purchase Inspection.
Customers who want a more detailed assessment before purchasing can arrange an independent AA Pre-Purchase Inspection separately.
